COSC 101 Computer Based Literacy

This is an introductory course to provide the fundamental understanding of computers. The lecture section will provide background information on an understanding of how computers work. The laboratory section is a hands-on approach to understanding productivity software.

  • For paper 1B, the page requirement has been changed to 4-7 pages. Paper 2 assignment is now available to view.
  • No lecture on March 10, the Friday before Spring Break. Instead, you should complete the Spring Break Activity. It is due on March 20th, the Monday when we return from Spring Break.

    Old Annoucement:

  • The Monday activities for Chapter 5 & 6 will not be available online.
  • The PAPER 1A requirement was to send it as an email attachment to your instructor AND to submit a printed copy. If you did not submit a printed copy, YOUR PAPER WILL NOT BE GRADED.
  • Reminder as per the syllabus, NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • No class Feb 3, do the activity from Chapter 3 online, due by Feb 6th.
  • On Feb 6, we will cover the lecture material from Chapter 3
  • Only if you miss class should you refer to the notes and activities.
